For this summer edition, while our members are in high bear booking, renting and selling products and services for the party rental industry, the MATRA office is preparing upcoming events and meetings to benefit our membership and industry. We continue to look for ideas from our members on what they would like to see (sessions and products) at The Tent Show, what they would like to read about in our eNewsletters and what they would like to stay on top of when we send our email notices. MATRA is not just about paying yearly membership dues and receiving nothing in return. We strive to add value to your membership and we listen to your suggestions.
So here is what MATRA has been working on while you are working on your business. Did you know...read full article

MATRA Welcomes Two New Board Members
MATRA welcomes the addition of two new members to the Board of Directors. Keith Eismann, Keder Solutions, Oak Creek, WI and Rob Markert, R.A.Markert & Associates, Binghamton, NY, were elected to the Board at the Annual Meeting in November, 2014.
Keith has been in the industry for 27 years having started as a tent installer for Karl's Event Rental which, over time, then led him to become Vice President of the company. His current company, Keder Solutions, enabled him to transition from installing tents to manufacturing components for the tenting industry. Keith says, "Manufacturing requires a different mindset than my role as a Vice President". Keith believes his new found success is attributable to building relationships, supplying the industry with quality and affordable products and his ability to do so in a short turnaround timeframe. A significant improvement that Keith has observed over the last 27 years is the...read full article
Rob has been in the industry for about 9 years as a sales representative for R.A. Markert & Associates. He began his career as a tent installer for about five seasons during and after college graduation. Joining R.A. Markert in 2006, he became the principal representative in 2010. Rob believes that the changes in the economy since 2008 have been instrumental in how, when and what dealers are purchasing. He says, "We feel successful anytime we can help our client make smart investments to grow their businesses and exceed their clients' expectations". The improved focus on safe installations is a significant change that Rob has observed in the... read full article
