SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS ANNOUNCED
An update by Michael Fitzwater, Committee Chair
As Chair of the Scholarship Committee, I am pleased to announce that MATRA has awarded two scholarships for the academic year 2017-2018 in the amount of $2,500.00 each to Ms. Olivia Cianciulli and Mr. William "Daniel" Sing.
Olivia Cianciulli attends Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey where she is a Business/Marketing Major and is scheduled to graduate in May, 2019. Olivia has worked for her father, Anthony Cianciulli, Jr., of Anthony Party Rentals, where we are certain her degree will be helpful. An avid volunteer since high school, Olivia is a current member of Alpha Omicron Pi Women's Fraternity and participates in their philanthropic events as well as raising funds for the Arthritis Research Foundation and Sisters for Soldiers. Olivia was also awarded a MATRA Scholarship last year and is our first returning recipient!
Daniel attends Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi where he plans on graduating in December, 2017. He expects to receive a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Daniel worked as a part time summer national employee at Mahaffey Fabric Structures. At Delta State, he serves as Class President of Day Nursing organizing their class events and fundraisers. Daniel is the son of Kevin Lee Sing who is employed with Mahaffey Tents as a Sr. Field Supervisor.
We congratulate both of these very commendable recipients and wish them the best of luck in all of their future endeavors.
