About Us |
About UsOur MissionThe mission of MATRA is to uphold safe practices and promote the professionalism and integrity of the tent rental industry, through education, networking and leadership development. Our PurposeTo bring together members of the tent rental industry through The Tent Show, Spring Training and other networking opportunities, to collectively share ideas and best practices in tenting. Facts about MATRAMATRA was started back in 1987 as a result of a few rental companies and area vendors that desired to build a stronger relationship in the tenting industry while helping to educate rental owners about safety and new products. Since then, MATRA has continued to present area trade shows and educational conferences where the knowledge of tenting is in the forefront. MATRA’s humble beginning in the Mid-Atlantic Region has now grown considerably over the past 35 years to what is now the Manufacturers and Tent Renters Association. MATRA still is at the vanguard of being one of the best associations for the “Tenting Professional”. Through our popular “hands-on” annual trade show conferences and our “Spring Training” sessions, MATRA continues to offer value to our members.
